ROL Royalty Portal, bundled natively into all our solutions, is a secure digital bridge between the royalty calculation engine and the authors and agents — it provides an integrated, end-to-end workflow without requiring separate effort or licenses.

System Workflow and Data Control

Our royalty portal does not maintain a live, direct connection to the master desktop database. Instead, once a royalty run is completed on the publisher’s environment, the user selects the finalized statements and uploads them to the portal. Upon publishing a batch, the system automatically triggers email notifications to inform authors and rights holders that their new statements are available.

The Author Experience

Authors and beneficiaries receive secure, individual login credentials to access a personal dashboard. Features available to authors include:

• Statement Vault: A historical archive where authors can view and download all past and current royalty statements as PDFs or Excel files, eliminating the need for manual email attachments.
• Visual Analytics: Interactive graphs and charts that translate row-and-column data into visual trends, allowing authors to track performance across multiple titles or formats over time.
• Publisher Updates: A built-in communication feature that allows publishers to share non-financial updates, such as marketing news, book reviews, or upcoming events, directly on the dashboard.

By combining local database control with a bundled, cloud-accessible author interface, the suite allows small publishers to maintain strict custody over their contract data while delivering a modern, self-service experience to their writers.
